Stuck
When Darren runs away after learning his father is getting out of prison, an unexpected encounter reveals what it will take to find real freedom. Produced in partnership with Building Hope Community Life Center, Rael Thigpen stars in Stuck, a short film that brings light to the issue of fatherlessness. This short film is an Official Selection for the 2017 Eastern NC Film Festival, International Christian Film Festival, Inspired Faith Film Festival, and FAM Fest 2017 International Film Festival. Darren’s Turn
A prequel to Stuck, Darren fails an audition then finds himself stranded after school with a classmate who is set on unlocking his hidden talent. A Stories of Hope short film, Darren’s Turn introduces Josiah Jernigan as Darren and Elisabeth Jenkins as Vanessa. Darren’s Turn premiered at the Building Hope annual banquet in February 2018. Darren’s Turn was an Official Selection at the 2018 International Christian Film Festival and Nominee for Most Inspirational Short Film.
The Road Ahead
Produced in partnership with the Roadways to Independence initiative at East Carolina University, The Road Ahead explores the challenges and opportunities that come with transitioning from driving later in life. Through personal stories and thoughtful storytelling, the film highlights the importance of planning ahead, maintaining independence, and staying connected to the people and places that matter most. The Road Ahead encourages viewers to approach life’s transitions with confidence, purpose, and a plan for the journey ahead.
